It’s me again. I know you’re saying, “Didn’t we just hear from her last month?” Exactly, and aren’t you perceptive. But when you have news to share about changes in your catalog they require a couple of posts. So here’s the second one.
I’m rebranding the Going to the Dogs series. What does that mean? Well, first off, I decided to expand my first book LEASHED from a novella into a full-length novel. I’m working on that as we speak. It’ll still be free, but with more words. Yay! My reasons for this was to address the issue that fans considered it too short and that there wasn’t enough of Callie and Owen. Bottom line is they wanted more. After getting deeper into the series, I realized that there also wasn’t a proper introduction of some of the characters that show up in later books.
As my first book, my magnet book that draws readers to my series, I was running up against some roadblocks when it came to promotion. A full-length book knocks down those barriers and means I can get this puppy out to even more readers.
Also, with the rebranding comes…new covers!
Here are the covers for the first four books in the series. All of the covers were done by the fabulous Robin Ludwig. Here is her website to check her out. http://www.gobookcoverdesign.com/
I revamped them to match the covers in Going to the Dogs 2: The Alphas. I wanted a fully cohesive series with no breaks and new covers helps with that. I will also be renumbering the series into one whole—Books one-seven with LEASHED being first and LOUDER THAN WORDS, my most recent release in December being seventh. The subsequent books that will come out in this series will be numbered eight and so on. The Wedding Novellas will be pulled out and become their own little mini-series. They also have a whole new look which I’m proud to say I did myself. Here are the gorgeous wedding covers.
You can still get my boxed set, but I will be taking GOING TO THE DOGS STARTER BOXED SET off the market so there isn’t any confusion.
I really am excited about this fresh new start for my series and doubly excited for the opportunity to share it with more people. Stay tuned for WHAT MATTERS MOST, the next book in the series, featuring Harper’s brother Aiden Sinclair and his long-time gal Friday, Faith Chapman who has been secretly in love with him for years. Here’s the cover and the blurb for you. The release date is scheduled for September 4, 2017.
What Matters Most
Aiden Sinclair is taking one day at a time as he struggles with nightmares and his PTSD from his last tour of duty in the middle east. When his long-time gal Friday, Faith Chapman drops a bomb on him that he’d never seen coming, he reacts badly and she quits. It isn’t until after all the dust settles that he realizes how much he’d relied on her and how much he misses her in his life, but feels it’s for the best. He’s nothing but screwed up. Then Nate Taylor draws him into charity functions for AlphaGroup. Aiden’s philanthropic family is tagged for help with Angel Paws, dog therapy for wounded warriors with PTSD, something that is close to his heart. What he doesn’t expect is it’s Faith’s brainchild.
Faith has been in love with Aiden from the moment she met him when he gave a starving student a job. But after he came back from his tour of duty, he wasn’t the same man, and Faith has struggled to keep her secret love for him under wraps. But when it slipped out during a close, tender moment with him and he reacted so badly to the declaration, Faith had no choice but to move on. Now Aiden is involved in her bid to AlphaGroup for financial assistance to turn her Nanna’s rundown estate into a retreat for men mentally scarred from the battlefield and the amazing power of canine love to rescue these heroes. Will Aiden’s involvement help him to find his own path to healing? As they draw closer and closer together, can she even hope that he would ever return the love that still burns strongly in her heart and finally discover what matters most?
