Lizzy Jordan has been working for the Wildcats franchise for a number of years and has maintained a professional distance from the big, hunky football players. That was until Texan Tyler Davis joined the franchise. But Lizzy is eight years older than the fresh-faced Rookie of the Year. But that doesn’t seem to affect the hawt gazes he keeps throwing her after that unexpected, completely naked encounter in the locker room—totally by accident. After seeing his buffed body in the buff, that cocky cowboy attention he’s paying her with his crystal blue eyes has everything to do with him seeing her as a desirable woman and Tyler proving he’s all…man.

My Mini-Review:

Lizzie Jordan has always maintained a professional standing and distance as a member of the Wildcats franchise. She is very good at her job and until Tyler Davis showed up, she has never questioned her ability to remain in control of her professionalism. Tyler may be talented and gorgeous but he is also a rookie and several years younger than Lizzie. Some things just aren’t proper!

Tyler Davis has given his life to football, a game he is not just good at but great at and loves beyond reason. Tyler has given up everything for a chance to be a part of the Wildcats team and is convinced that with hard work, dedication and time, he can accomplish all he has set out to accomplish and win back the respect of his father. Every single day Tyler gives 110% to his endeavors and pursuits and one of his pursuits is Lizzy Jordan.

Lizzy cannot deny her powerful attraction to Tyler and once he makes his intentions known, she finds it harder and harder to stay away. For being so young, Tyler has some serious game and with his kind heart and caring nature thrown in for good measure, Lizzy in done for almost from the beginning. From the naughty gifts to the locker room romps, Tyler is determined to have Lizzy and once she really gets to know him well, there’s no denying the man.

The Bottom Line: Tyler Davis is one smokin’ hot man and he may very well be one of my favorite book boys!!! Tyler may be young but he has his priorities in line, his head on straight and, a sense of responsibility well beyond his age. Once he convinces Lizzy that age is nothing but a number and Lizzy quits denying the obvious, the two together are just brilliant.   I love this series and not just because I am a long-time fan of Zoe Dawson. These reads may be short and sweet but they are also a true evolution of the author and her writing. Dawson has really begun pushing the limits with these naughty novellas but don’t mistake them for nothing more than a naughty read. These naughty novellas have fully-developed characters, a plot that is well-rounded and interesting and, naughty moments that fit logically into the read and don’t overwhelm every other aspect. In all, the Forbidden Plays series is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

My Mini-Review:

Round three of the Forbidden Plays series is just as hot and just as fresh as the preceding two reads but has a little extra bonus, a second chance at love romance. You’re intrigued now, aren’t you?

Holly Masters emerged from her divorce heartbroken yet determined. In the year and a half since she left Clay Masters, quarterback for the Wildcats, she has never ceased loving him but has become a far more confident and capable woman. She completed her law degree and now works as a part of the council team for the Wildcats. Seeing Clay on a regular basis isn’t ideal but Holly is a professional and her current assignment is to the man to sign his contract thus securing his next few years with the Wildcats.

Clay Masters is a top-ranked quarterback and though he wants to stay with the Wildcats, seeing Holly is just too damn hard. Clay is convinced his best course of action is to take an offer from another team until he unexpectedly finds a letter written by Holly before their divorce. Instead of signing his contract when he walks into the Wildcats’s office, Clay kicks everyone out and begins negotiations with Holly. Clay agrees to sign his contract if and only if Holly will spend one night with him. Given her boss’s position on losing Clay to another team, Holly has no choice but to agree to Clay’s terms. One night it is!

Clay and Holly’s night starts with some seriously dirty dancing and ends with some truly spectacular orgasms. Clay is blown away by Holly’s newfound confidence and lack of inhibitions and Holly is once again reminded of how good she and Clay were together. The only problem? Clay and Holly had some serious issues that led to their divorce and if they can just get beyond the old hurts they may have a chance at happily ever after.

The Bottom Line: Second chance romances are always a good read and when you throw in some really steamy sex well, the read just gets even better. Holly and Clay are totally meant to be together but the life of a professional ball player is hard and circumstances (some real and some not!) led to a bitter separation that left them both reeling. In just 63 short pages, Dawson creates an entire story (and backstory!) for two truly likeable characters. It can often be difficult for an author to fully develop characters in such a short read but Dawson has no problem doing so. In fact, Holly and Clay aren’t just fully developed characters they are characters who have evolved and become exactly what they need to be for one another in this second chance romance. Nothing feels unfinished or left undone and in fact, this is one pretty sweet HEA.
