A companion novella to Hounded, Going to the Dogs, #3. Your reading enjoyment would be enhanced if you’ve already read Hounded.

Poe is getting married and she’s having Jared’s baby. She’s gotten her happily ever after, but everything happened so fast, she’s barely had time to take it all in. She’s worried about her ability to be a good mother. Will her doubts overshadow these joyous occasions—her marriage and honeymoon with her sexy cowboy?

But, she’ll have to catch her breath on the run. Before she can say Zombie Apocalypse, she’s off to Vegas where all her friends and family are assembling. They have to put a wedding together in a week. Can the dog park babes come to her rescue to get this hitching to come off without a hitch?

Ah, wait, The Terrible Two are involved.

 My Review:

**SPOILERS!!  Stop reading if you have not read Poe’s book, Hounded**

POE!!!!  Do I really need to say anything else?

Fetched is a super-super-sweet novella that is a part of Zoe Dawson’s Going to the Dogs series and is a brilliant companion to a series I absolutely adore.  Here’s the skinny on Fetched: at the end of Hounded (Poe’s book) Poe was all kinds of blissfully engaged to the über-hot Jared and set to start her career as a veterinarian.  As Fetched opens, the bliss is continuing to roll on in as we discover Poe is not only engaged but also pregnant!  Sheesh!!  Hot guy, the Terrible Two, Daisy, a baby and now, to make everything all legitimate, a quick wedding in Vegas hosted by Harper.  To say Poe has been handed a plate full of awesome doesn’t even come close so why is she so crappin’ stressed out and unsure of where her seemingly perfect life is headed?

Although the teensiest bit unsure of what the future holds, Poe boards the plane to Vegas and greets the dog park girls with open arms and a big smile.  True to form, Harper (aka the blonde juggernaut!) has taken care of nearly everything and what she couldn’t deal with, the ever-resourceful Brooke has covered.  All Poe has to do is enjoy her time in a monster suite, shag her fantastic fiancé and walk down the aisle when the time is right.  If only she could shake those nagging feelings she keeps pushing aside.

The Bottom Line: Fetched is Poe at her finest and I am soooo glad Zoe Dawson added this novella to the Dogs series!!  Fetched is in no way about answering any unanswered questions from Hounded (there weren’t any!) but about furthering Poe and Jared’s story and giving fans of the series a wonderful treat that is the Vegas wedding.  Dear Lord, the scene with Daisy at the wedding is hysterical and completely unexpected in the best way possible.  If you have read and loved this series as I have then Fetched will only increase your love and leave you wondering as it has me, if Dawson is going to give us three more companion novellas 🙂

  1. So stoked that you loved the novella. It was something that I wrote for the fans of Going to the Dogs! So mission accomplished. The answer to your cute hint for more info about the other companion novellas is YES! More dog park babes. I’ll be doing each of the remaining three women in the order that they’re getting married. Callie and Owen will be up next in Tangled (yeah, if you’ve read my series, you know my lame humor. Callie and Owen were tangled up in Jack and Jill’s leashes when they first met in Leashed.) Callie and Owen are going to honeymoon in the snow covered Andes to enjoy some winter sports in Chile, but there’s something that Callie feels is too important to leave hanging. Namely Owen’s past. He won’t talk about it and she is determined, now that he’s her husband, he has to spill it. That honeymoon is going to be filled with enough heat, both in the bedroom and out, to melt the snow as Owen and Callie work out their differences. My blog has all the deets: and you can add Tangled to your Goodreads shelf here: Thanks Leisha for the fabulous review. You rock!

  2. I stumbled upon this series earlier this year, and loved it! The dog park friends theme originally hooked me because I like series about groups of girlfriends. I’ll be 1-clicking this novella, now that it’s available! Thanks!

  3. So HAPPY that Zoe is planning to write novellas about all the characters so readers can see the progress in their stories.

    • I’m pretty happy about it, too, Michelle! I also have a second series planned. Not sure if you’re aware, but I’ll be doing Going to the Dogs 2: The Alphas which will feature Ian Lassiter (Callie’s brother) and Ozzie (Great Dane puppy), Aiden Sinclair (Harper’s brother) and Cleatis (Doberman), Nate Taylor (Jared’s brother) and Mak Keona (Harper’s new found brother) and Shark (Chihuahua) and two other heroes. Conner Wentworth who’s West Indies British and Duchess Cookie (Bearded Collie). Conner is a reconstructive surgeon, and finally, Jesse Malone and Puck (Weimaraner and Pitbull mix), a former hockey player turned sports writer. So excited. First book, Piggy Bank Blues will be out in March 2014. You can see more about the series here:!piggy-bank-blues/c1v5p

      • Zoe,

  4. Michelle,
Thank you so much for stopping by and weighing in on the review and the series! I’m with you, I adore this series and can’t wait to see what Zoe has in store for us in 2014!
